    i saw this film at a screening at my local theatre. it's a sensitive, honest look at an australian surfing icon who was as haunted as he was talented. jolyon hoff's retelling of the narrative is respectfully and carefully crafted. mp deserved a film such as this. jolyon has made a significant contribution to the genre of surf films in this country.

    Saw this film in Brighton last night - wonderfully told story about a classic surfer who was a man also and a man maybe only truly at peace when on the waves
