This video for Kyra and Tully's apocalyptic lullaby 'Far Away' came out of, originally, a desire to make a TV Desserts episode with this 'gently freaky' folk couple who are also my neighbours. We were going to do it in St. James Church which was willing to let us use the space for a song (literally).

But then, we somehow got the idea to do a fantasy thing and Kyra found out about this woman, Clelia, who used to live in K-Town and who made these masks. Kyra set it all up and we received our masks. We just kind of shot this thing in one evening without any real plan, just for fun. Our friends Trevor Brown and Tim Lyon helped out with holding mics and additional camera...the Church ladies dropped in and offered us cookies, we scored pizza from the family movie night that was going on and gorged on generosity.

The audio was recorded live that night so in that sense, it's not a traditional music video- which I like.
