Aurora Picture Show's Media Archeology Festival: Liquid Light to the Laptop
This video features excerpts from a recent performance by Joshua Light Show and Silver Apples, two sixties pioneers way ahead of the curve and still very relevant today. Also features excerpts from the Q&A session (Joshua White speaking) and Simeon Coxe showing us his oscillators.
Aurora Picture Show, recognized as the most innovative microcinema in Texas, held it's sixth annual Media Archeology Festival on April 17-18, 2009. The mission of this festival is to showcase artists who use, manipulate, recycle and reinvent electronic media to create live multidisciplinary performances. The theme of this years festival was the evolution of live visuals from the psychedelic light show to the real-time visual culture of today.
