Excellent video, bruh. I came up in VA Beach a little bit after you all and remember kids in the suburbs wantin to replicate life in the projects just to "be real." The images that are out there definitely warp the minds of those unable to separate entertainment from reality.
Yo Malice! That was the realest interview I witness an years. First Let me say I always been down with the Clipse since the Funeral song back an 1998 or 1999 when I saw that video. Alot of rappers now are Robots. They don't have no balls. I'm only 25 and it seem to that hip hop is dead. The average song or video you hear and see it's about money. It's nothing wrong with that like you said, but when everybody do it. It's a problem to me. I looking forward to hear When The Casket Drops because I know it's creative and original. Yall from the era when it was about lyrics, now wack ass rappers like Gucci Mane, Oj Da Juiceman, and Soulja Boy just to name a few is fuckin hip hop up with them basic as lyrics. Back an the 90's when Hip Hop was at it's best you had story telling songs, videos an the hood not flossing, hip hop was talking about struggles and inspiration. All I'm saying it's cool to have a few cocaine rappers like Raekwon, Clipse, Shyne, Kool G. Rap, The lox, AZ, Jay-Z, Biggie, Nas, but these niggas had good lyrics with it. Now Rick Ross is getting better with his lyrics and Young Jeezy, but these others niggas need to stop it. Bring that real Music back. Be creative and stop following the next man. 85% and rappers never live that life, and if you did live it. It don't always need to be put on wax. Real Gangstas keep there mouth close. Look at the Cha Cha Man. But Malice I Fuck with you and Pusha because I know yall been through some shit.
I nominate this the REALEST shit I ever saw as far as hip internet promo! I stamp the Clispe as official!
On the strength of this video "Til the Casket Drops" is now my anticipated album of 2009. Peace to the BROTHERS from VA (DMV).
