This is a small glimpse of the story of my time climbing in Yosemite National Park as part of a 365 day climbing challenge to raise awareness of Type 1 Diabetes. Lots more details can be found on the blog: livingvertical.org
During this time in Yosemite, the climbing was hard but the living was harder. A big part of that was the fact that my wife and best friend had to leave to take a job--which was bittersweet because it is a great opportunity and I am very proud of her. On the other hand, it has created a void in my life that I feel acutely, every single day that passes without seeing her (it's been over a month so far).
This video is dedicated to her vision and love for LivingVertical--and for me.
Thanks to Steve V. for being my climbing partner on this excursion. I could not have made it without your patience and positivity (and skill with things automotive!). I know it is a tough situation partnering with another climber who is missing their woman--it can make things tough, but we stuck it out and had an adventure nevertheless!
Thanks to Mike McDonald for hooking us up with key info and gear that made our climbing possible in the first place. You are a super generous and awesome human being.
