i compose prose for pros to perform at shows
with scorn that shows an actor born beneath/
the chorus flows to protect every throw and thrust
keeps the verses from rust like a sword in its shief/
i'm sworn to be deep, to build on life experience
vehemence deters the lazy from feeling this/
reason which needlessly list on my conscience
constrict all the breath, when your confidence tests/

time to walk on
time to live it
give it what you got
show how hot you spit it

whatever you start, stay commited

i envisage a ... brief pause in my day
every phrase i lay on the page strays towards/
a dischord, dissonant feeling revealing
my innermost turmoil spoke like a heathen/
healing is really just growth within tissue
cover the old over, when it don't fit you/
given the comb over, toupe or to be
you and me discuss philosophy or be phony

keep the convo flow
peaked and erected
meekness or hectic
action or protocol
