A frame-by-frame super-8 film I animated using paper cut-outs. Inspired by a song I heard by Nathan Nice, the subjects were originally Adam and Eve, but became Johnny Appleseed (John Chapman), who was said to have left the ladies he came across with more than just the seeds of apples. The back-breaking process of leaning over a glass table, moving paper cutouts took almost a month to complete. I love the final product, but am heartbroken every time I see the parts that turned out to be out-of-focus, especially the final scene.
