The guys from kineme.net/ have created a patch for quartz composer to send and receive data through the serial port. Sorry for the bad video. You can see how the ball changes position when I send a number from my PC to my mac. Also though you can't see it, I was sending a random value from my mac to my PC.
What you see at the front are 2 arduino boards with xbee shields. The xbees are very simple serial modems.
You can start to imagine the possibilities.
Next will be to create a QC show that will react to Zygote whenever is punched.
