Wow, the look of the two is so radically different. The A1 highlight blowouts were quite telling, and that's not even taking DOF into account.

Hey rad test what picture profile settings were you using on the 5d I like how it is not as saturated and seems to have good latitude. Makes the xha1 look so video despite the obvious dof differences.

The 5D is no where near as sharp image as it can be and I've seen. I have an XH-A1 but want a 5D as well

Stick a Letus on the end of the XH-A1 and it will tell a very different story! I'm happy with my XH-A1/Letus set up and wouldn't buy the 5D-MkII. I did buy a Casio Exlim F1 for high speed work and gives me the portability of a full HD SLR movie camera.

For sure the 5D got a DOF (buy the way u can get a quite nice DOF if u zoom with th XH-A1, but I know its not allways possible) Waht I see its that the 5D picture all in all is motre blury than the xh-a1....ore Im wrong?

Yes, you could get the impression of blurriness. That may come from: Shallow depth of field, not the whole subject is in focus; my first steps with the 5DII, so maybe I misfocussed a little bit in one or two images and last: You could still sharpen the image in post, but I prefer the more natural look in comparison to the "over-sharp" pictures from the XH-A1.

Keine Frage, die Videofunktionen der DSLRs sind ein Traum, aber SORRY, sofort fällt die höhere Grundschärfe der XHA1 auf, die meisten fallen einfach nur auf Filmlook und Freistellen rein.
