Jordan, a 24 year old young black heterosexual man, died in early June after being pulled from life support. He was in denial of his HIV status even though he was born with HIV. Besides the pain of loss from the ones who loved him and took care of him, Jordan left behind the carnage of destruction with other people's lives.
Because of his denial, he infected two girlfriends and likely more, plus fathering two children with HIV. In his wake, the one person from his days under DCFS, Dept of Child and Family Services, vowed that something good must come from his legacy.
This short film is her wish. Jordan's Lie is a wake up call to Black men and Black women everywhere that denial in the Black community cannot continue. It is the silent killer in a community that is in denial of their many phobias while young black men and women die in silence.
