The Spanish language is fascinating, when you want to use a diminutive of a name for example my name Jose, you always end up with something longer then the initial word, like Jose for example becomes Joselito, unlike the English language that would truly reduce it to Joe. Arenidillo es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arnedillo is the smaller town of neighboring big brother Arnedo and as in Joselito, Arnedillo is the diminutive of Arnedo en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arnedo a city that precedes Arnedillo by several centuries and dates back to the Roman Empire and that will most likely be one of my next Time Lapse projects.

Every time I came back to La Rioja I could not resist going to Arnedillo which to my North American eyes feels much more Spanish then my own native village not very far from it in the same province. It's white painted houses on hill sides reminisce the views found in the southern part of Spain. Which is why I chose a more flamenco type of music from southern Spain to give life my images.Images that remind us of the views most people expect to see when visiting Spain.

My favorite part about this small 477 people village is that it has no bullfighting arena.
