For A Good Week 2012, we've selected Good Ambassadors - a group of inspiring people hand-picked by us for their vision, drive and all-round wonderfulness - to represent our daily themes throughout the week via video addresses, daily ‘Do Something Good’ challenges and Twitter Q&As.
SUNDAY 24 JUNE 2012: MAKING SOMETHING OUT OF NOTHING
This one doesn’t need much of an explanation! Why not take this theme as an opportunity to have some fun and get really creative? Recycling does not just mean putting your paper, plastic and tins in the designated bin: there’s lots of reusing that can be done before we get to that stage! Upcycling is whole new trend devoted to taking old things and making them shiny again and the arts and crafts movement is making a comeback with more people than ever learning to knit and sew.
Empty spaces are not getting away with being left bare either, and there's now several organisations solely devoted to making Good use of them. 3Space are one of them and thery’re working hard to bring Good opportunities to a high-street near you!
Do Something Good this week: rethink waste!
