We add another clip to our growing file on Vincenzo Gibaldi AKA "Machine Gun" Jack McGurn. Boxer, golfer, triggerman for Al Capone and part owner of a north side nightclub called the Green Mill. In 1927 Joe E. Lewis was a singer / comedian and rising star who was under contract to McGurn & the Mill. Then he decided to sign with a rival club that was owned by north side gangster Bugs Moran. This clip tells the story of what happened.
As a sidebar this link will take you to a page that shows what The Green Mill looked like when it opened in 1917 and took up the whole block.
