"I am You, You are Me" is a study in perception. It was filmed inside the Saatchi gallery in London during the Gesamtkunst Work exhibition using a DSLR camera. The metaphor of metamorphosis is used to explore the changing images of the sculptures and visitors as seen through the reflections in a vibrating mirror. Sculptures morph into humans. Identical twins appear to emerge from each other and dance in front of the mirror – who is who? The purpose of a mirror is to reflect back “reality” - the vibration in this mirror distorts our perception of the truth and introduces multiple fictions or errors causing one to question what is real and what is an illusion. Is the “truth” out there in the world or is it created in our mind?
