This evening, we covered several aspects of around and behind the breaking news of the Supreme Court (SCOTUS) decision about the Arizona law about immigrants. We had already planned this topic when the news broke, and talked about the kind of work and stingy wages and benefits that Houston janitors do and that they are striking about. With us as guests we had Dave Atwood (community activist, SEIU supporter and member of Houston Peace and Justice Center - hpjc.org ), Dayana Gomez (activist with Houston United - HoustonUnido.org - singular, NOT what the subtitles say for the web link!), Claudia Munoz and Kemi Bello (activists with National Immigrant Youth Alliance - TheNIYA.org ); CRECEN was also represented, a Houston Central American Resources organization (see Facebook).
