How to use the Zacuto Z-Stop
Steve Weiss and Jens Bogehegn show how to use the Zacuto Z-Stop to stop focus drift when using Depth of Field Adaptors.
The Z-Stop locks onto the focus ring of any camera, preventing any accidental bumps that throw a DOF adaptor’s ground glass out of focus. The Z-Stop is made out of carbon fiber and industrial strength grip material, it also attaches simply and easily to any 15mm rod system. The Z-Stop keeps your camera system looking professional without the need to resort to tape or other methods to secure your focus. Made for cinematographers who utilize DOF adaptors, the Z-Stop is an invaluable tool in any DP’s arsenal.

2 years ago Great idea! This is just what I need especially for steadicam work. I find that tape rarely does the job. How does it hold up in cases? It would nice to be able to pull it out of the storm case and have everything ready to go. -

2 years ago It's carbon fiber Josh, I challange anyone to break it. In our cases it's great because we put the camera straight down and pull it straight up. -
