Wendy Long's victory speech on the night she won the Republican nomination for US Senate, June 26, 2012, at the New York Sheraton Towers hotel. With 96% of the precincts reporting, Long got 51% of the vote, while Congressman Bob Turner had 36% and Nassau Comptroller George Maragos trailed at 13%. The Associated Press declared Wendy Long the victor shortly before 10:30 p.m.
