'A Growing Problem' was my final project through the Hunter College film program. As per the class guidelines, we split into groups of four and produced two synced-sound 16mm films. The story for this film was developed after fellow group member and director, Allegra Judah, pitched the idea of a man who has taken too many erectile dysfunction pills. I wrote the script, and edited the whole thing after we shot it over the course of a weekend.
It was a rough shoot. Two crew members (myself included) were sick and had lost our voices, and all of us were students either working or studying without a full day to set aside for a film shoot. If we weren't at our throats one minute, we were laughing about a blooper the next. Despite the roller coaster ride, we managed to put together a pretty funny short. I am proud to include it in my portfolio both as a writer and an editor.
