I've used a technique before that has worked for me; tell me if I'm crazy.

I typically animate my cameras by parenting them to a null (the 'ol parent-the-camera-to-a-null trick). I then just plug in the x,y and z position values into the null from the object that I want to match pixel for pixel. Thoughts? Thanks again!

Have you tried Zaxwerks Layer Tools? Wonder if it gives the same results?

Sometimes AE cameras are not so friendly.

A simpler way (in my opinion) is to parent the camera to the second layer and reset position and orientation. This will snap the camera to a pixel perfect position relative to the second layer. Then just unparent the camera. All done. No duplicated layers needed, and no need to try to move the camera into an aproximate position.

Nice tutorials ! thanks ! But i really don't know whats your problem with auto-orient... i guess it's very useful for instance to turn around an object while always focusing on it (instead of point of interest you'll have to change 2 camera parameters at a time)
