Research on the American Samoan island of Ofu is focused on learning why some of its corals can resist temperatures that routinely bleach corals on other reefs. Dr. Steve Palumbi of Stanford has been conducting research on Ofu for several years and with his development of Robot Tidepools, aims to create a tool that will allow researchers on any remote island, to find which corals can stand the heat.

Microdocs are a series of films focused on the oceans and ocean science created by Dan Griffin of GG Films and Steve Palumbi of Stanford.
