Did you keep this steady in post or with some kind of magical camera rig ?
  • No special rig my friend. Just sitting with the camera in my lap as my dad drove.

p.s. the music works really well.
  • Thank you. Yeah the quick drum hits really emphasize the fast movement. I especially like the shot right after the opening creds because the music just seems to fit really well there. Thanks for the comments :)

Hey Michael, thanks for checking out my work. Yeah, the graphics were first done in photoshop and then brought into AE as layers and mainly animated with masks. I really like your time lapse pieces!

Hi Michael. Out of the two time-lapse films of yours that I've seen, this is my favorite. You've inspired me!
  • Why thank you:)

superb, already said but music is so so well chosen. Your titles are really simple and great. So well done !
  • Thanks Remyyy. My only beef with this video is that I wasn't able to motion track the opening "Time Lapse 2" title to the rear view mirror. Had I known I was going to use it in that particular spot I would have edited a different way so I could pull it off. I feel like that would have really made the title slick, seeing it move around with the mirror like it was stuck to it.

It would have been a good trick sure but maybe hard to read because of the moves and to me your titles are sort of your signature and the fact they are still and simple is great. (of course, just my opinion)

Good use of colour balances (if that's a word). Did you use post production to produce those vivid colours or was it just your camera?
  • I used Adobe After Effects for all the color corrections.

I liked this! The whole grey/blue colors throughout the whole thing looked cool, and the music went with it very nicely.

Really good. Sometimes being a passenger is great, gives you more time to do things, and not have to worry about that whole crashing thing. Good work!
  • Hahaha I agree :)

May I know on which software you used for post processing your videos?

Especially the split screen. It looks good! :)
  • Thank you very much. I used Final Cut Express to edit the split screens. It was simple actually. Just using the crop tool.
