Visiting Ka'ena Point State Park on Oahu is an awe inspiring experience. The wind whistles around the exposed western most of the island, the waves smash on to the black volcanic shoreline and the Monk Seals and albatross carry on regardless, altogether creating an atmosphere of wild isolation. It's a unique sensation on Oahu - one to cherish - for many places now are caught within the trappings of a commericalised paradise.
