A video memorial dedicated to Dastigeer Sahib's shrine in Khanyar area of Srinagar, Kashmir which was gutted by a fire on Monday, 25 June 2012. This was filmed in 2010 during Dastigeer Sahib Urs, a week-long annual festival at the shrine. The shrine was built in 1806 in remembrance of Hazrat Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jeelani (RA) who was an Islamic missionary during the 12th century. This is a tragic loss to Kashmir's cultural, spiritual, and architectural heritage.

This footage will be featured in KASHEER, a feature-length documentary, currently in post-production, that documents the Kashmir Valley's rapidly vanishing artistic and cultural heritage to retain it's spirit for future generations. The film also explores how local contemporary artists are engaging with the conflict's destructive forces to offer new forms of creative resistance that redefine a sense of cultural identity and promote the healing of Kashmir's devastated community.
