I'd experimented with setting up Grey Scott Reaction Diffusion in Quartz Composer before, messed around with OpenCL liquid, etc., but recently ran across the von Neumman reaction diffusion model. This is a very basic implementation with a "heat map" style coloring. There is a small bit of perlin noise mixed into the result - I'm interested in experimenting with amping up the noise displacement in future experiments.
