After a week's vacation, it was back on the road and behind the camera.
Mary Knoll Park is a sliver of wooded land tucked up against I-94 that is host to an annual Weed Out to get control of the invasive weed Garlic Mustard.
Through the decade-long effort of Patty Gerner, the war against Garlic Mustard is being won, in one park, in one place, in one community.
My underpowered laptop continues to give me fits, but I will plod along until Fall when funds and Windows 7 are available for a replacement.

This originated as a stand alone photo assignment. As the event progressed, the story of Patty Gerner's dillegence emerged. By this time, calling in a reporter to make copy for print or the web was past the point. Or was it?
