Steadicam Merlin + HV20 + 35mm adapter
First test of the Steadicam Merlin and tried it with the 35mm adapter right away.
I find it easier to balance with the 35mm adapter than the HV20 only. The camera is too light on its own.
The aperture is at its widest f1.4
I use a Canon FD 50mm
It's supposed to be 24p but I forgot to do the pulldown.
I'll do some outside shots soon (when the snow storm is over)

How do you like the merlin ?
Perhaps someone could shed some light in this fir me?
My set up is:
Dell Inspiron 9400
Intel Core 2 CPU
T5600 @ 1.83GHz
988 MHz, 0.99 GB of RAM
Running:
Windows XP Media Center Edition, Version 2002, Service pack 2
Your knowledge would be greatly appreciated.
It's very light that's why I was able to balance it on the Merlin.
You'll even get smoother shots than the Merlin.
then again... it's a Steadicam..
With my canon HV30 25p, 2 weights are good.
One (0.2 lb) on front and one (0.2 lb) on back.

Maybe your weights are too heavy with your cam.
I tried my glidecam with a sony pd170 camera and it was so good.
