When we pack it up this season and trek some 10,000 kilometers across the Pacific into the tropic heat of Thailand (and the chaos of Bangkok), the only thing we’ve come to expect—at the very least—is the unexpected.
Young love chases adventure through a visual feast of sprawling night markets and crammed nightclubs where no one knows your name. In another instant, it’s the bliss of desolate beaches, exotic jungles, cheap rum, and a sky lit up by fireworks miles away from anywhere.
“Nowhere to go but everywhere…”
Coming out in early 2013, Salazar knits together another beautiful piece for us with a touch of the surreal, and harmonized with original sounds from Brasstronaut. With the help of a mysterious little machine, two kids come crashing into an unfamiliar paradise of unknown roads, coves, and coastlines. All at the twist of a knob and the press of a button. It all began with an innocent hope to escape the everyday. But things are becoming stranger and stranger…
Short film coming early 2013.
