Juan Moreno: President, Architect at JGMA
Juan Gabriel Moreno is an award winning architect and President / Founder of JGMA. Mr. Moreno is a native of Bogota, Colombia. He has worked on projects in Europe, Latin America, Asia, the Middle East and North America. His firm's work includes the highly acclaimed UNO Soccer Academy and Instituto Health Sciences Career Academy High School. In addition, his firm is also working on the following projects; El Valor's International Inclusion Center for People with Disabilities in Chicago, a Mixed-Use Master Plan in Michigan City, Indiana, a prototype for an Exploration Institute for Children and Youth with Disabilities in Ecuador and Panama, and a Hotel / Conferencing Center in Chennai, India. In addition, his firm was recently awarded Northeastern Illinois University's new El Centro project. Mr. Moreno's projects have received numerous awards and recognition from his peers. Mr. Moreno is also actively involved in the architectural design and academic community. He is the current president of ARQUITECTOS (the Society of Latino Architects in Chicago), a committee member of AIA National's Diversity Committee, a board member of ACE Technical High School, and a board member of the I AM LOGAN SQUARE community arts organization . Mr. Moreno is also a frequent design critic at IIT, UIUC and UIC.
