Lunchtime seminar with Ed Cooke - Memrise
Ed Cooke became a grandmaster of memory at the age of 23 and mentored forgetful journalist Joshua Foer to become a U.S. memory champion in a year. Needless to say he knows and remembers a lot about memory. Researching, writing and teaching about memory led Ed Cooke to co-found Memrise, a free online educational platform that uses memory techniques to optimise learning.
Join us for a lunchtime seminar with Ed Cooke where we will be exploring what improved memory techniques could mean for the future of the education system.
The Young Foundation has a unique record of understanding educational needs and developing innovative new ways of meeting them. Our work today aims to address the gulf which has opened up between what education systems provide and the skills and knowledge that children and young people need. More on the Young Foundation's work on education and innovation.
