Эдакий гринписовский радикализм узрели зрители пока бомбосемечки падали на головы труподомов. Хуй переведешь этот комментарий через гуглтранслит парень. Вот тебе словознакомое: PERFECT.

    So amazing!

When that music kicked in around 1:22, that was awesome.

Good message, simple but effective art style. Simply incredible.

very cool, reminds me of the Gerald Scarfe Animations in Pink Floyds "The Wall"
  • Jeremy Abdo plus 4 months ago
When the music kicked it also reminded me of Pink Floyd!

    Great video!
  • Jared Levy plus 4 months ago
Absolutely. Even though the artwork is original, I could see it being a Floyd movie too. Something about the look of the pilot.
  • Nat Dart 4 months ago
When Matt Kaip was making the score for this, I told him that I was heavily inspired by:
    1) Sigur Rós
    2) Pink Floyd
    3) Cliff Martinez
I don't know if he was familiar with Sigur Rós or Cliff Martinez, but the Dark Side of the Moon feel definitely came through in the score, I think.

i also thought of Pink Floyd as i watch this great video. very nice work!

beautifull peace with a meaning that is very clear. However I do not really like the desciption. It's good but you state your meaning like it's a general fact. ''our careless warfare practices''...I do respect your opinion but it depends on politics. You cann't just say it's all careless. For instance ISAF developed by all means to help plant the seeds that make the trees grow like in your artwork.

    That's very nice !

However, is it really a full flash animation with the 3D and parallaxes ? What were exactly the programs used to make this ? (That's curiosity not criticism ;))

Anyway, good black and white artworks with well done sound design deserve your narration and idea, good job.
  • Nat Dart 4 months ago
I used mostly Flash for the 2D Animation, and a little bit of 3D Studio Max for a couple elements. The compositing was done in After Effects.

    Thanks for the feedback!

Terrific Job, Nat. I really enjoyed the pace and the softness of the sound, the story and the animation. Amazing Color and design, especially of the operator. You had detail where there needed to be detail and left out the uncessary. Applause for a well studied and terrifically intelligent piece of work.

Nice twist! I love the animation . It reminds me a lot of the animation in the Bomber scene in the film Heavy Metal. Well done.
  • Nat Dart 4 months ago
I haven't seen the original Heavy Metal film as a whole yet, only a few snippets. I have seen Heavy Metal 2000 though..
I always loved the fighter pilots and bombers in Kevin Altieri & Todd McFarlane's 'Do The Evolution'. I was definetely inspired in part by that music video.
  • Adam Palmer plus 4 months ago
You should TOTALLY see the original Heavy Metal. It was a great inspiration to me as a film maker!

  • David McSperitt 4 months ago
That was really amazing! I'm totally a novice and am facinated at how you can create something like this. What inspired you to create this and how did you put this all together?
  • Nat Dart 4 months ago
My core idea was to have seeds hit the earth and have trees explode out of the them. I just took that idea and went to town with it. I spent lots of time drawing layouts to create interesting compositions with the trees and ruins.
During the storyboard process I began to discover some of the archetypes that existed in my events/story/setting, so I made a conscious decision to really push what I found. One example of this was the raven. In first-nations (American-Indian) mythology, the raven is seen as a trickster and creator, so I tried framing him with the bomber to draw a parallel between them.
I really thought a lot about the difference between creation and destruction, and ways in which I could represent that contrast on screen.
The rest of the time, I spent animating in Flash, makin' them trees go BOOM.

really nice vid...i wish i could animate like that, congrats!
  • Cooper 4 months ago
Have you ever tried to? If you never practice, how do you expect to be great at something? You are just, born with it - if you want to animate like this, practice animating like this. He's been doing it for years!
