The American Himalayan Foundation is a humanitarian non-profit organization dedicated to bringing education, health care, cultural conservation, and environmental preservation to Tibetans, Nepalis, and Sherpas in the Himalayan region. On April 25, 2009, AHF was honored to host His Holiness the Dalai Lama for a public talk entitled "Peace through Compassion" at the Greek Theater in Berkeley, CA.
