This is part 2 of a Performance-Lecture given by Regan O'Brien and Alan N. Shapiro at the Between Worlds Symposium in Sandberg Institute, Amsterdam in February 2012. This was part of an event sponsored by the Dirty Art Department of the Sandberg Institute called the AGE-ISM Lecture Series. It was principally organized by Elise Van Mourik.
Alan is giving a lecture about his theories of the evolution of the Car of the Future and the world in which it can exist. Regan has extracted some thematic threads from this lecture which are relevant to her own practice and worked on a parallel performance score. One score does not interpret the other, they simply run alongside each other. Hopefully revealing emerging moments of clarity, simultaneity and glimpses of the un-thought-of unknown.
