Video commentary.

See just how this intelligent moorhen tackles a dried-up morsel that she found on the embankment.

Time for a spruce-up for the obligatory water scene mallard.

Mum and dad mallard herd their young to safety from the prying eye of the camcorder lens. See how the drake initiates the manoeuvre, followed by mum's quick thinking as she steers her precious brood.

Finally, whether rejected through quality control by a parent, an accident or vandalism this is a tragic loss to the beautiful swan population.

    Nice shots of the moorhen.

    Fair sized ducklings!

Yep, the swan egg looks like it had a problem - we'll have to get the egg expert (Gerald) to give his opinion on that.

Thank you very much. You should take a peek at the Resident Fox video and the Kits/Babies of the Resident Fox as well. I think you would enjoy them.

    Thanks Rob.

I leave the chronicals to 4M2, I am more of an opportunist videographer.

I just meander around with a thumb poised over the red button, framing and relaying my interpretation of the world of the wildlife that allows me that privilege.

Thanks for taking time to comment Rob.
