Sunday May 17th 2:00pm @ Beverly Skatepark

The way things fell into place for this contest was quite natural. We were thinking of doing a contest at the Beverly park and the two best things about the park are the smooth ground and the perfect bench. It therefore only made sense to focus the contest on the bench. Having worked with the guys at RAW in the past they were the first people we thought of to get on board with us. It was from the Know the Ledge videos that RAW put together that we came up with the name for the contest, Know the Bench just wasn't working for me. It was just after I started really planning the contest that I saw the DC Project Granite contest that they were doing with PJ Ladd. Although not the same idea we had, Project Granite was based around technical ledge skating. It just so happened that we had just got in a bunch of new DC's at our shop after not having them for a bit. We thought getting them involved would be a perfect way to reintroduce DC into our shop and with the help of Jefferson Pang finalized the preparation for the contest.
