Elliott’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Washington and Lee University, a Master of Science Degree in Zoology from the University of Miami, and advanced graduate studies in Coral Reef Ecology, Biological Oceanography, Phytoplankton Ecology, and Tropical Rainforest Ecology at the University of Miami Marine Institute, Nova Oceanographic Center, and the University of Costa Rica. Elliott received a Ph.D. Degree in Consciousness Research at the University of the Trees in Boulder Creek, California, and has also served as a faculty member at Adelphi University and Dowling College in New York.
Elliott’s scientific career includes extensive field research on tropical marine ecosystems and on the behavior of coral reef shrimps and fishes. He studied Tropical Biology and Rainforest Ecology at the Organization for Tropical Studies in Costa Rica with renowned global forestry expert, Dr. Leslie Holdridge, and continued on to do pioneering research and development of giant freshwater shrimp culture in the Florida Everglades and Puerto Rico. In 1980-81 he worked as a Research Scientist at the Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research in conjunction with 1200 scientists and technical specialists from around the world. In Kuwait he played key roles in Project Management, Development of Advanced Shrimp Culture Systems, and Future Food Resources.
In 1978, Elliott and his now deceased wife, Sharon founded Arcos Cielos Research Center in Sedona, Arizona. This international non-profit Center for Science, Education, Fine Arts, Global Ecology and Human Potential Development continues to be actively engaged in developing unique new paradigms in Education, Fine Arts, Global Ecology, Alternative Energy, Transformative Thinking, and Global Conflict Resolution.
Elliott’s contributions to education include a position as Consultant Coordinator and Secondary Education Specialist for the Hopi Tribe in Northern Arizona. In 1978 he assisted in developing bi-cultural education programs for the Hopi Elementary School System, and a new $22-million Junior/Senior High School. For over 25 years Elliott has been active in the field of Management Consulting, working with corporate leaders, celebrities and key professionals to develop new programs for heightened efficiency and breakthrough thinking. He holds the titles of APC (Accredited Professional Consultant), CC (Certified Consultant), CPC (Certified Professional Consultant) and CPCM (Certified Professional Consultant to Management).
Elliott’s experience also includes the integration of alternative medical and healing technologies with conventional medicine. His recent efforts have focused on developing effective solutions for the major problems of our global ecosystems (Planetary Management), through practical integration of alternative technologies with conventional science. In addition to being an accomplished underwater photographer, videographer and scuba diver, Elliott has done extensive observational research in the marine environment. From 2000 to 2005, he visited remote locations in the South Pacific Islands and atolls to gain first-hand knowledge of the current health of the marine and coral-reef ecosystems. He also made a series of dives to film shark feeding behavior in French Polynesia.
Elliott is a member of the Aerospace Technology Working Group and has been an active participant in their teleconferences, workshops, and presentations. ATWG consists of an elite group of scientists and key leaders in NASA, academia, the commercial aerospace community, scientific research institutions, and the US Military. This organization functions as a unique think-tank and strategic advisory resource for developing new applications of space science, to enrich our knowledge of earth-based environmental problems and to develop advanced technologies for expanding the human presence in orbital and outer space. Elliott also serves on the Advisory Board of the Washington, DC-based Integrity Research Institute, an organization which focuses on developing advanced technologies in areas of alternative energy, global ecology and advanced medical techniques.
More recently, Elliott has been working with the London-based organization, Humanitad International, to develop and coordinate new strategies for implementing advanced non-polluting technologies, to develop creative programs for implementing world peace, and to encourage international and intercultural cooperation. In this regard, he was appointed Director of Advanced Technology and Global Ecology for this organization, which works in conjunction with the United Nations Millennium Development Goals Awards Events, and in areas of Global Conflict Resolution and International Cultural Exchange. Besides being founder and president of Arcos Cielos Corporation, a non-profit 501 (c)(3) corporation, Elliott is president of Elshar Executive Enterprises, Inc.
Elliott continues working to develop unique new paradigms for thought and action, which are an extension of his 2003 book, Transforming the Global Biosphere: Twelve Futuristic Strategies. These new paradigms include a new environmentally focused educational system, the Arcos Cielos University of the Future Project®. He is currently working on developing a new Master Paradigm within the context of quantum-field thinking which he calls Future-Science Technology®.
