The Day has come.
I expected many years before doing this mythical descent and yesterday at 10.45 i was at the bottome of this monstrous line that starts from the summit of West Lyskamm at 4527m and fall for 1000m on his north face for a 50°/55° of steep.
I was not alone.
Jimmy Sesana shared with me his fifth run on this mountain in many years, for him the last descent on this line, theNeruda-Welzenbach, was done in 2005.
I was honored to ski with him.
Wind on top was really strong and made some big dangerous sluffs in the first section.
The rest was epic, fresh snow left us make perfect turns along the entire face.
14 minutes at 180BPM and we were at the bottom of the big monster, exausted and happy.
The neverending season is going great.
