Waldo Canyon Fire, Division C, June 30, 2012, Mop Up. Various crews from Oregon, California and Arizona work to put out hot spots left from the fire. This is called mop up by firefighters. It is a tedious job, but it is one of the most important in controlling wildfires. Even with all of today's modern technology it still takes boots on the ground to physically find and put out hot spots that might flare up and take off again.
Thank you to all the firefighters for their hard work!
