As much as I dislike auto-tune, combining it with this video artifact effect is a perfect combination. Bravo nabil. Read about this in Stashmag.

The song is great, the video is great. Too bad it isn't official... I mean, this isn't on TV or something.
Now Kanye needs to drop a rap album again, haha.

I was one of the many vid makers just about to make a music video using pixel moshing until I saw this and that other one a few months ago. Irritating but that's the way the creative cookie crumbles. You gotta pluck that idea as soon as it surfaces.
  • nabil elderkin plus 2 years ago
well i think their is still PLENTY of ways to explore the method.. we both used it in our own way.. go for it.. i'd love to see how you flip it in your own way.. if u do send me the link

Really, really amazing effects... this video is beautifully done! Take Kanye West out of it, and put in a different song, and it'd be perfect!

I think this vid is dope.

When you write a treatment for a video.
How do you convey how cool it'll look as a finished product? because this music vid seems like it was probably a hard idea to sell.

Congratulations ! it is really good !
I wonder how you have done it...
It look very raw, as real artifacts, but i guess you had a total control on everything... So did you really compressed the shit so that it looks raw, or are these post-prod tricks to make it look raw ? I guess it's a mix ?

very impressed by the visual styling on this one. How did they do that youTube compression artifact gag?

The song is OK... but, WOW what a fuking edition concept!!! Cabo TV losing signal rules!

Matter of fact, they shoot the clip with a mini-dv cam, using old and rotten tapes that the director found in his garage...

  • Awesome Awesome Awesome.

I've loved this video (and song) for over a year now.
    I'm just totally impressed.

Eoghan Kidney is right about plucking an idea once it surfaces. I've had (like everyone else I'm sure) so many flashes of genius only to see somebody else actually do the work.

IN MY OPINION- Kanye has the best video portfolio of all current artists. He has so many, and he's explored a lot of different styles.
Obviously the credit goes to the directors of the videos, but he deserves credit for choosing to work with such talented people.
