Carsten Nicolai's brilliant new work unidisplay at the Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal explores the notion of a universal language. This audio-visual work is archetypal of Nicolai's artistic practice which combines explorations in cognition, self-organizing systems, sound as a physical phenomenon and loop structures most usually based on mathematical and cybernetic models.
More on this soon. The entire work is created in TouchDesigner by Derivative's Markus Heckmann who has for some time worked closely with Nicolai on multiple projection series including unitxt and univrs. (Shot with an iPhone)
