Swimming in the Olympics is soon to be a dream come true for one Gold Coast student.
While the Gold Coast has been the home of Ben Schulte for the past three years, the 16-year-old will represent Guam in the upcoming London Olympic Games.
The Year 11 Miami State High School student left for Guam last week to prepare for his 10km swimming marathon.
The 16-year-old trains 10 times a week with Olympian Grant Hackett’s coach Denis Cotterell and assistant coach Brian King at the Miami Aquatic Centre.
Ben will race in London on August 10 at midday.
