A gargantuan effort: I don't think I have ever been so tested by a shoot before.
Originally planned as a happy-go-lucky music video, Ben and I worked our bottoms off trying to make this film. After our first knackering day's shooting Ben and I were not on the best of terms, and as we set off to film our exteriors on the second (and final) day, the heavens opened. Buckets of rain poured from the skies while we were meant to be shooting a picnic at Bolton Abbey. We improvised the ending, vastly changing the story, and shot the pickups during the credits a few weeks later.
Ben and I look back fondly upon this shoot, it's triumphs and pitfalls. It's an ultimately corny piece, but it indulges its kitsch themes in good humour.
