The stepper motor is connected to a standard H-bridge step motor driver which is being driven by a pulse engine created on the Arduino MEGA card. Notice this video shows the program slowly increasing the speed as the motor rotates one revolution back and forth. The final segment of the video shows controlling acceleration factor at the beginning and at the end of a commanded move. This simple implementation only selected 5 points to adjust acceleration, however could easily be expanded to many more and the program could pick them automatically using the selected move.
