A day trip starting at the Current River Blue Ribbon Section followed by an afternoon at Little Piney Creek for wild rainbow trout. Lane Spring vitalizes the Little Piney with 10 million gallons of 58 degree water per day along with Yancy Mill and Piney Springs. Dense vegetation grows along the stream creating deep undercut banks where many fish take cover. This section of stream bed is comprised mainly of gravel and silt with little sand. The abundance of deep, oxygenated pools and aquatic life create optimal habitat for rainbow trout.
