As a child, were you ever at such a loss for words to describe something that you made up a word for it? Some adults do that, too! Such was the case with Tertullian, the 2nd century lawyer and writer of theology! At a loss for words to describe the concept of one God in three persons, he invented the word 'Trinity', from the Latin 'trini' meaning 'three.' It is this word Trinity that we begin to study today!
Whether in the New Testament or the Old, the Bible is full of verses and concepts describing the Trinity. Join us as we explore the meaning of Trinity, and what it means to your life! This is part one of a two part set of lessons on Paul’s theology of the Trinity.
