In this video we will look at the production side of creating a complex 3D motion tracked shot using DitoGear motion control equipment and DragonFrame.
The concept here is basically shooting two identical shots, one with your puppet and scenery (or greenscreen in this case) and the second with no scene animation just motion tracking markers and a camera move.
Part 2 will come soon and we will dive into after effects and look at how to add your own floor and background along with any other elements you want into the camera space.
Please let me know if you have any questions or if this video was helpful. If you end up using anything you learned here in a video please post a link I would love to check it out!
For doing ANY Stop Motion work you will definitely want to buy a copy of DragonFrame at dragonframe.com/
Also if you are looking for a copy of the motion tracking markers we used they are available here ridgelinetutorials.com/blog/free-motion-tracking-markers
IF you are just too cool to print them yourself they will even print em out for you! motiontrackingmarkers.com/
