An interview with Franklin Fly

This was my final for my stop-motion animation class (Academy of Art University). Here's what the instructor had to say . . .
"Thank you Bo-
That is fantastic work! Very funny, well written and good voices too. I love the fact that you kept him alive during all of the pauses and moments where the interviewer is speaking. I totally believed in his character the whole way through. Very good character animation.
Technically speaking there are lots of great little moments as well. When he hops down from standing on the chair to sitting down, it's extremely well-timed and seamless. The camera moves add a nice subtle touch also. I love the scene at the end when he runs through the grass...those kinds of shots outside with a moving camera are tricky to do but you pulled it off perfectly.
This is solid, professional work. Bravo for a job well done throughout the course!" - Ken Priebe

Roger Todd 1 year agoReally sweet! You invest Franklin with so much character - I particularly love his childlike glee as he runs around at the end in the grass! I look forward to seeing more.
