Produced by Cliona Byrne, Eimanne El Zein and Sahar Shakeri, 2008

Created in the Lights Camera Reel Grrls program for beginning filmmakers, this film is a personal narrative that tells the story of Sahar, who recently moved to the US from Iran, and her decision to continue wearing the hijab although no longer forced to do so. The Human Rights Watch International Film Festival featured Hijab in their 2009 "Youth Producing Change" series and flew Sahar to New York to participate in the festival.
