Robin's music has been a sustaining joy for me, ever since I was 16, and first heard the delicious violence and beauty of "Day of the Eagle". Now so many years later, I'm still touched by Robin's expression and soul, I'm still trying emulate his jazzy phraseology, and add my own, and through this process, to find my own expression. Robin is my mentor, more than any other artist. Robin's licks are like sunlight, shimmering on the surface of the Pacific at sunset, dazzling the mind with reflections on the passing day. Looking forward to seeing the gig on May 28!
