Dude! love it! Looks like you're having some fun with the 5d as well eh?? I'm curious to see what kind of set up you're using. I'm trying to get my pilot to take the weight and need to weigh it down a bit more..advise??
Oh yeah!!! the 5D is awesome! I love shooting with it. The entire SDE was shot on 5D...all but one shot, can you guess which one is EX1?
The set-up I am using for the Steadicam is the Cinevate cage and small rails set up for the added weight, along with the Cinevate matte-box for added front weight. To weight it down even more, I add a whole bunch of the universal rails blocks to the rig, it adds a whole lot of stability as well. Its a great set-up in terms of getting spot on dynamic balance.
Im glad you enjoyed the SDE, thanks for the kind words.
Hey Casey, fantastic work my friend. Love the shot of you down the aisle way of the church. LOL! The concentration on your face...
I think I have to get me one of those 5D's, just havent got the $$$ yet, and I just bought the Letus Extreme setup about 6months ago... If I bought one my wife will kill me ;)
Great work mate...
Im trying to put up my videos as I have done a SDE/Trailer edit recently on my blog and uploaded it to VIMEO but it didnt look right, so I removed it.
Anyay you can see it on my blog on this link - nolimitpictures.com.au/blog/?p=552.
Tell us what you think. Not as good as yours though!!!
Always great talking to you mate, and when you come to Australia, we will definately meet up!
Awesome! thanks for the compliments, im glad you enjoyed the sde. We will be in Hawaii quite a bit this year, on Maui, and Oahu maybe i'll see you around.
Incredible work. You, Joe Simon, and Stillmotion are setting the bar for this stuff. Do you shoot these alone? I noticed the cam set up on the table by itself during the first meeting with you chasing on steadicam. Steadicam Pilot or Merlin with arm?
