In 2006 the city council of Washington DC passed new laws that allowed the Police Chief to call any part of the city a 'prostitution free zone' for up to 10 days. This short documentary describes how sex workers, transgenders and other communities have organized to oppose the new policy that violates basic civil and human rights.

PJ, I have just finished watching Prostitution Free Zone, whilst loving your film work and respecting your art, I was appalled by the tyrannical and biased laws that are being instituted in the USA, for a country founded on free individual values it seems to me that only the rich and 'straight' people have any rights. Shame shame shame. Thank you for enlightening me about such an injustice, more power to you. Love Mistress Nelly
